Educational Philosophy

Jean Pieget said “The principle goal of education is to create individuals who are capable of doing new things, not simply of repeating what other generations have done.”

As a classroom teacher, I wanted to give my students knowledge and skills to help them be successful beyond high school; whether that was in the job market or in furthering their education. As an assistant principal, I strive to facilitate a positive learning environment where teachers and students are provided opportunities and encouragement for growth and learning. I encourage authentic teaching and student-centered learning. I aspire to set an example of continuous learning and value in education.

“The most important attitude that can be formed is that of desire to go on learning.”

John Dewey, Educational Reformist
